In the heart of the Sundarbans, where rivers meet the sky and dreams are born amidst nature’s beauty, a vision took shape in 1968. A vision of light, knowledge, and empowerment, brought to life not only by our revered founder, Late Gourhari Das, but also by the tireless efforts and initiatives of many dedicated education enthusiasts who shared this dream of transforming lives. Guided by the words of Swami Vivekananda, “Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man,” this school has grown into more than an institution—it is a living dream, where knowledge awakens the mind, nurtures the soul, and shapes character.

Today, we proudly serve nearly 2,600 students from Classes V to XII, many from the remote villages and islands of the Sundarbans, who face challenges of isolation, limited resources, and daily hardships. The school proudly offers three comprehensive streams—Arts, Pure Science, and Vocational—each designed to nurture the unique potential of every student, guided by our team of dedicated and experienced teachers who are committed to ensuring quality education for all.
